Démarche

Je scrute le visage comme un territoire fragile où la matière révèle les émotions enfouies. Par superpositions, effacements et déstructurations, j’explore la frontière entre ressemblance et disparition, pour laisser émerger une humanité instable mais profondément présente.

A tall, narrow plinth supports a twisted, semi-transparent resin form that suggests a torso without limbs or head, its surface embedded with fine threads, pigment swirls, and tiny metal shavings. The sculpture stands in front of a softly textured, off-white wall bearing faint charcoal smudges and ghostly, erased outlines of previous studies. A cool, diffused skylight from above creates a gentle, even glow inside the resin, making internal inclusions shimmer subtly. Photographic realism, captured at mid-distance with a clean, centered composition and plenty of negative space. The mood is quietly enigmatic and sophisticated, emphasizing the figure humaine as a luminous, incomplete presence materialized through layered substances.
